Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all students enrolled at Luke-Taylor School of Performing Arts (“the School”). By enrolling a child, parents/carers agree to these terms in full.

The School provides training in dance, singing, and drama for children and young people aged 3–18.

Enrolment is entered into on a rolling termly basis and will automatically continue from term to term unless cancelled by the parent or legal guardian.

A minimum of one full term's written notice is required to withdraw a student from the School. Notice must be given before the start of a new term.

Fees remain payable for the full term in which notice is given.

Enrolment is a commitment for the duration of each term, and fees are payable in full for each term booked.

• Fees are charged on a termly basis.
• Term fees are payable in advance by bank transfer.
• Taster sessions must be booked and paid for in advance.
• Fees must be received in full by the stated due date to secure a place.
• If payment is not received by the due date, a reminder will be issued. Continued non-payment may result in the student's place being suspended or withdrawn until payment is made.

Fees are non-refundable except where the School is unable to provide the service.

Fees will not be refunded or reduced for:

• Family holidays
• School trips
• School exams
• Short-term injury or illness
• Absence due to suspected or confirmed COVID-19

Where a student joins partway through a term, fees may be calculated on a pro-rata basis at the discretion of the School.

All pro-rata arrangements must be agreed at the time of enrolment and are based on the remaining sessions within the term.

The School reserves the right to determine eligibility for pro-rata adjustments.

The School reserves the right to:

• Change class times or timetable
• Change venues where necessary
• Adjust fees with reasonable notice

Where possible, reasonable notice will be given of any changes. The School will endeavour to minimise disruption to students and families.

Where possible, at least eight (8) weeks' notice will be given before any changes take effect.

• Students are expected to attend regularly and arrive on time.
• Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be transferred or credited.

The School expects all students to behave respectfully at all times.

The following behaviour is not acceptable:

• Bullying or intimidation
• Disruption in class
• Disrespect towards staff or other students

The School reserves the right to suspend or withdraw a student's place if behaviour is deemed inappropriate.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. All safeguarding concerns are taken seriously and will be managed in accordance with UK safeguarding legislation and guidance.

• Parents/carers must inform the School of any medical conditions or injuries.
• Students participate in classes at their own risk.
• The School takes reasonable steps to maintain a safe environment.

Students are expected to wear the official Luke-Taylor School of Performing Arts uniform to all classes after their introductory session or trial period (if applicable).

The uniform includes:

• Luke-Taylor School of Performing Arts t-shirt
• Luke-Taylor School of Performing Arts hoodie (where required or available)
• Black leggings or suitable black dancewear bottoms
• Black jazz shoes or clean black trainers (as appropriate for the class style)

Uniform must be worn correctly, clean, and presentable at all times.

Hair must be tied back for all classes, and no jewellery should be worn for health and safety reasons.

The School may update uniform requirements from time to time.

Due to the nature of dance, singing, and drama training, physical contact may occasionally be used for technical correction or performance guidance.

• All contact will be professional and appropriate
• Student comfort and consent will always be respected
• No-contact alternatives will be offered where appropriate

The School may engage guest or freelance teachers in dance, singing, or drama.

All teachers are required to:

• Hold a valid Enhanced DBS check
• Provide appropriate identification and qualifications
• Follow the School's safeguarding and conduct policies

The School retains overall safeguarding responsibility at all times.

• Photography and filming will only take place with parental consent.
• Images may be used for promotional purposes unless otherwise stated.
• Students will not be identified by name without permission.

• The School is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
• The School is not liable for injury unless caused by proven negligence.

By enrolling a child at the School, parents/carers confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
